Why you should not underestimate generation Y
Millennials take a lot of heat for being “lazy” and “tech-obsessed”. Yet there are 83.1 million millennials in the United States, making up half the workforce.
This demographic contributes greatly to the unique way companies are repositioning their marketing efforts.
Certainly, Millennials are the leading experts when it comes to making online purchases. According to a study by B2X, 25% of millennials spend at least five hours on their smartphones per day.
40% of millennials rely on reviews and testimonials before committing to a purchase.
57% of millennials say that they have restaurant food delivered so they can watch movies and TV shows at home, and 59% of restaurant orders from millennials are takeout or delivery.
According to these statistics, if your restaurant does not offer online food ordering, you’re missing out on close to half of the potential orders that you could be receiving.
Can you afford to lose that much potential business because your technology can’t handle millennial spending habits?
