I am so passionate about how much I dislike this place that I am writing the review in the cab as I leave! Worst service ever. The food is EXTREMLY overpriced for the quality. I’m turkish so I know how good I can get this food and this is not worth it. To top it off we waited thirty minutes for our food while everyone around us who came in after we did was served before us! Our waitress did everything she could to avoid eye conact bc she knew she was wrong. They didn’t even offer something on the house! I lost 80 bucks on this place from a salad and cab fair. Terrible place do not go. I know better now.

The lamb adana was great, according to my co-worker, but the Mercimek Corbasi soup was bland and so was the Mantarli Karides Sote shrimp & mushrooms. They forgot to include the hummus and I’m waiting for them to deliver that, so hopefully they do. It’s pretty disappointing.

I have had the best Turkish Food in Divan Turkish Kitchen in the last few years. I am from Manhattan NY and none of the 40 Turkish Restaurants in NYC could even come close to the taste of kebobs Divan serves.
I would strongly recommend the juicy and tender chicken shish kebob $11.50, my wife’s spinach dumplings $9.50 was mouth watering too.
Very healty food and the prices were very reasonable. The desserts, Kazandibi and baklava was out of this world. Fortunately, I come to Philly once a week and Divan is what I miss the most when I am in NYC. :-)
Divan Turkish Kitchen is one the best restaurants I have ever been within all other cuisne restaurants.

My first time ever trying Turkish food & I really liked it. The food is really superb. The only dishes I’ve had and haven’t loved are the two chicken kabob entrees. The lamb here is divine, and among the best I’ve had in the city. I like the atmosphere, which feels like you are eating in someone’s home (a pretty home). Pricey and heavy but good…
